Ingredients:
1¾ Cups Flour
¾ Cup Butter (softened)
1 Cup confectioner’s
sugar
1 Cup chopped
Pistachios
2 pinches Saffron
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Crush saffron to powder in a mortar. Add 2 teaspoon of water to it and mix well. In a large bowl mix together all the ingredients except pistachios with hand. Flatten the dough to about 1½ inch thickness and give it a square shape. Wrap it in a wax paper and refrigerate for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes unwrap the dough and sprinkle pistachios. Roll it till it is 1 inch in thickness. Now cut it into rectangular shape. Bake it on an ungreased baking sheet for 15 minutes until the edges are slightly brown.
